Over the weekend of April 2-3, another edition of the programming marathon organized by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister took place. Thanks to our several years of cooperation with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, we had the pleasure to participate in this event as mentors. One of our leaders, Wojtek, took part this year as a specialist in APIs for the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
Participants of this 24-hour challenge were tasked with creating a prototype application to help solve current social problems or assist residents of Ukraine in finding their way in Poland.
The competition required using Open Data, including at least one API from the dane.gov.pl portal.
The collaboration resulted in numerous ideas, including how to leverage the Public Tourism Registers System we co-developed to verify legal accommodation offers.
